SUMED's share in Arab Gulf exports to Europe
Since its start-up in 1977, SUMED proved to be the major outlet for Arab Gulf crude to the west.
Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran and other Arab Gulf producers moved more than three quarters of their exports to Europe via SUMED.
Despite the shrinkage of Arab Gulf oil movements to Europe, SUMED has managed over years to secure an ever rising share; with the portfolio of flexibilities and unique services in addition to the transportation economic incentives SUMED's share kept growing to approach 80% of total Arab Gulf exports to Europe.
